Once Upon a Studio Official Description
Featuring 543 Disney characters from more than 85 feature-length and short films, “Once Upon a Studio” welcomes heroes and villains, princes and princesses, sidekicks and sorcerers—in all-new hand-drawn and CG animation—to celebrate 10 decades of storytelling, artistry and technological achievements. Mickey Mouse leads the emotional and joyful reunion of beloved Disney characters as they come together for a group photo to mark Disney’s 100th anniversary. The short film is written and directed by Dan Abraham and Trent Correy, and produced by Yvett Merino and Bradford Simonsen.
Disney+ is also airing a promotional spot ahead of movies on the streaming service in the United States. This piece highlights the 100 years of storytelling with the reminder that great stories live forever on Disney+. One of these great stories is Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which is now streaming on Disney+ in a beautiful remastered 4K format. This arrival follows Cinderella and 27 other Disney animated shorts that have all received the same 4K restoration treatment as well.
The 100th anniversary of The Walt Disney Company was also marked by other celebrations around the globe. Disney CEO Bob Iger also tweeted the following message in honor of the anniversary.
A century ago today, Walt Disney and his brother Roy officially founded the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio, changing entertainment forever. To all who have imagined with us, laughed with us, and dreamed with us throughout the generations since… Thank you. #Disney100 pic.twitter.com/aUJ8vkTNYu
