In less than a month, I will be making my first trip to Japan. I have family out there that I will be visiting that I’m very much looking forward to. I will also be visiting Tokyo Disney Resort. However, as we are planning this trip we are seeing that there is so much more to do and see in Japan beyond just Disney. We are going to do our very best to visit as many places and experience as many things as possible. Seeing that it will be fall also, it should make for some absolutely beautiful photos as well! I have been to multiple places in Europe, the Caribbean, and of course North America (I LOVE Alaska), but I have never headed anywhere near Japan. It will definitely be an adventure!
Daps Magic Continues
Throughout this trip, I will still be “working” and covering Disney and positive stuff like always. The timing might just change a bit with the timezone. Daps Magic also has an amazing team that will be helping me for some things that I just won’t be able to do from thousands of miles. Through the time I’m gone videos will go up, Disney This Day will continue to arrive daily, the news will be posted, Geeks Corner will come live weekly (yes, we are going to do this from around the globe), and we’ll also continue to have videos from the parks going up. To say it will be a crazy and exciting time for Daps Magic is an understatement. However, we have mad it happen before… maybe just from the Japan Pavilion at EPCOT instead of the country itself!
Sharing the Trip
One of the things I’m thinking about doing while overseas is documenting the trip as it technically fits within the realm of “positive stuff.” I haven’t completely figured out how I am going to do this. Perhaps when I go to someplace special, I’ll vlog that day or do a photo journal of the day? Maybe I’ll do a weekly vlog with daily photo posts on the days we go places? There will definitely be full of my Disney days but I’m open to ideas for how best to share Japan with all of you. I will also probably be posting photos and quick videos quickly while I’m out and about on the Daps Magic Patreon. Please let me know any ideas or suggestions you have for how to share this trip best!
Tips for the Trip?
Finally, I have never been to Japan before. If you have any tips for visiting, especially in late fall, please let me know in the comments! It looks like the weather will be a bit cooler than we are used to in Southern California. It also looks like it will be a beautiful fall experience. If you have suggestions for what to wear, how to pack, which lenses to bring for my Canon 6D camera, books to read, or anything else I may not be considering, please let me know! I’d greatly appreciate it!
I think this trip to Japan is going to be a blast and I’m looking forward to spending time with my sister and family. I hope you’ll follow along as I go on this venture! I think it is going to be a lot of fun and I’m excited to share it with you in one way or another. I can only imagine how many thousands of pictures I’ll be taking and how many gigs of video I will capture throughout this trip. It will be a grand adventure for sure!
