The Villas at Disneyland Hotel

Looking at the Rooms of The Villas at Disneyland Hotel

The Villas at Disneyland Hotel is now open. Yesterday, the fruition of years of work was unveiled to the public. Before opening to the public, a special grand opening ceremony was held for invited guests, cast members, and members of the media. Daps Magic was among those in attendance. Following the ceremony, tours were given of The Villas at Disneyland Resort. During the course of these tours, each of the different room offerings was shown. Below is a look at what was seen during these room tours along with thoughts on each of the different room options.

Duo Studios

Book a stay in the newly imagined Duo Studio. Ideal for 2 Guests, these rooms are where the story of Jungle Book will unfold in enchanting ways. The kitchenette includes an under-the-counter refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. Duo Studios also offer a wall-mounted TV, a split, spa-like bathroom with themed tile accents and a queen-size bed that conveniently tucks into the wall to reveal a couch when not in use—giving you even more space to enjoy this thoughtfully designed room day and night. You’ll love returning to this cozy retreat after an exhilarating day in the parks. And in select rooms, you’ll be able to kick back and relax on a patio or balcony.

Room Review:

This room is a new offering for Disney Vacation Club. First off, I loved the theme and the details found in it. It really is charming and cute. It has everything one or two people could need to stay at the Disneyland Resort. The one thing I should note though is the space. There is not a ton of it. For some, this won’t be a problem at all. For others, it might be a bit tight. On the flip side, there is a patio that is quite comfortable. I personally would be completely happy staying in this room and like how they utilized the space and the Murphy bed is a great way to create versatility at different times of the day. I would give this room a hat tip.

Deluxe Studios

Video Tour:

Official Description:

Spacious Deluxe Studios sleep up to 4 and bring to life the story of Sleeping Beauty or Princess and the Frog—from regally patterned wall coverings and artwork to colorfully themed carpets and more. Enjoy the convenience of a kitchenette, complete with an under-the-counter refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. These Studios also feature a mounted TV, a split bathroom and 2 queen-size beds—with one folding into the wall, revealing a couch and another with plenty of under-bed storage for luggage and souvenirs. And select rooms offer an outdoor patio or balcony where you can unwind after a fun-filled day.

Room Review:

The Deluxe Studios really are charming. They come in two versions, either Sleeping Beauty or Princess and the Frog. I was really impressed with the details that were found in this room that has a bed and a Murphy bed. There is also the kitchenette for those that want to take care of dining options in the room. This would probably be my most practical choice if just traveling with one other person. I found this room to be comparable to a regular hotel room at a Disney Resort and very useable. While not massive, it is definitely very comfortable for two people and could also easily fit four as well. This room also has a balcony and I easily give a hat tip to it as well.

Just-like-home comforts extend to the main bedrooms, which boast a spacious bathroom featuring double vanities, a soaking tub with a themed mosaic-style tile mural, and a spa-like, walk-in shower. And each Villa is brimming with elegant design details throughout—from traces of dancing Sugar Plum Fairies and a symphony of Fantasia-themed touches, to jewel-toned décor and vibrant murals that are as lively as Tiana’s Place.

Room Review:

The 1 and 2-bedroom villas continue to build on what is offered with the aforementioned rooms. There is added magic, added details, and added space. The villas seemed quite flexible and had space to do different things. If I were traveling to the Disneyland Resort, I would definitely choose one of these rooms. The Disney magic in both are really lovely and I think they provide plenty of room for everyone who may end up staying there. They also are quite versatile for different-sized groups as well. Also, I loved the art and magical details that were hidden in both of these options. Hats off to the villas in my humble opinion!

Room Review:

The 3 Bedroom Grand Villa is in a word, incredible. It is two levels and with 3 bedrooms, it can sleep up to 12 people. There are amazing pieces of art to find throughout the villa and equally amazing views over the Disneyland Resort. I can only imagine how magical it would be to watch fireworks from inside or out on the balcony. The Grand Villas are really jaw-dropping and definitely on the bucket list to stay at someday. Hats off to the Grand Villas as well!

Final Thoughts

As I think back about the tours I received of the different accommodations that are offered at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel, I must admit that I really liked all of them. I like the style and vibe. I like the magical details. I also really enjoyed the layouts of each room. Disney really maximized the use of every square foot of that building to get the most out of it. This created different options for people who are looking for different things. I really enjoyed the details that were found in every room. I enjoyed finding how many magical things were found in each room. One of the highlights was definitely finding the mosaics in some of the bathrooms. They were absolutely beautiful and a highlight in the rooms they were in! The traditional art found in the various rooms was also stunning and I’d love to be able to buy them and have them in my home.

At the end of the day, this all comes with a price as well. I did not include the pricing here as that can be variable. It also is a Disney Vacation Club property so points could be the pricing as well. With that in mind, it all comes down to the perceived value of what is being offered. While I might think this is a decent deal for what is being offered, others might not. So, I’m not going to get into that discussion. What I will say is that I found The Villas at Disneyland Hotel to be a beautiful new offering at the Disneyland Resort and I would be very happy staying in any level of accommodation.
