Jack Skellington must really enjoy Disneyland during the Halloween season. Not only does he get to deck the halls of the Haunted Mansion and transform it into Haunted Mansion Holiday, he also gets to host the nighttime spectacular, Halloween Screams. On Friday, despite some iffy weather, this show returned to the skies above Disneyland to the delight of the guests below.
Hours before the fireworks were to begin, Disneyland was beset by a sudden downpour. This downpour seemed to catch most guests by surprise and was surprisingly fierce, albeit short. Following the rain, however, the wind continued to send gusts through both parks at the Disneyland Resort. It made both guests and cast members wonder if the fireworks would actually be happening that night. However, when 9:30 PM came around and Jack Skellington took over the night, fireworks did indeed ignite above Sleeping Beauty Castle as Jack and Zero led people into a screaming good Halloween celebration. Halloween Screams first debuted at the Disneyland Resort in 2009. For the opening year, it was presented to the public. The following year, it became a part of Mickey’s Halloween Party. This trend would continue for several years until in 2019 the Disneyland Resort moved its Halloween Party to Disney California Adventure and it became the Oogie Boogie Bash. With the Halloween Party at Disney California Adventure, Halloween Screams was once again presented to the public. To this day it remains quite popular and when Jack Skellington starts the scream-along, it seems the whole park can be heard participating. Hallowwn Screams includes the following music:
