Knott’s Berry Farm Through a 35mm Lens

This last weekend Knott’s Berry Farm kicked off its summer festivities. This includes the opening of a re-imagined Fiesta Village, another summer of Ghost Town Alive, and also the return of Summer Nights! All of these are awesome and there are plenty of opportunities for fun and to make incredible memories throughout the summer.

On Saturday, May 27, 2023, the Daps Magic team was invited by Knott’s Berry Farm to check out all of the offerings. This year, I thought it would be fun to try something different and instead of trying to capture everything that is being offered at Knott’s throughout the summer, I’d try something different. I brought with me my Canon 6D and only a 35mm lens. The goal and hope was to push myself to find some unique photos throughout the day and to be creative by limiting myself to this lens and this photo. It turned out to be a lot of fun and also challenging. Some of the shots turned out better than I had imagined and others… well not quite.

Below is a look at the kickoff to the summer for Knott’s Berry Farm through the 35mm lens of my camera. I hope you enjoy this different perspective of Knott’s. While I took probably a couple of hundred photos throughout the day, here are 22 of my favorites.

There are a lot of things to enjoy this summer at Knott’s Berry Farm. Ghost Town Alive is an absolute blast, whether you want to participate or not. It is absolutely amazing watching both Knott’s Berry Farm actors and guests bring Ghost Town quite literally to life. The newly reopened Fiesta Village also is a win. During the day it is a lovely place to be. At night, completely magical! The entertainment over there is awesome as well. Summer Nights is also all about entertainment (and food) and is such a great way to spend evenings throughout the summer. Make sure not to miss Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies, Hiatus, and the Calle Celebración throughout the summer.

I hope you enjoyed this photo adventure of mine with a 35mm lens. IF you liked it, please let me know. IF you REALLY liked it and would like me to do another one somewhere, also please let me know! Also, please let me know what your favorite photo is from above! You can do all of this in the comments. Thank you for reading!
