In Rennervations, Jeremy Renner says “The only difference between crazy and courage is a plan.” Renner is a man with a plan in this Disney+ series that is about taking big old decommissioned vehicles and reimagining them into awesome gifts for organizations that support kids in communities from around the world. This series is part car/truck show, part reality TV show, and completely full of heart. Through it, more is learned about who Jeremy Renner is and why he does what he does.

“RENNERVATIONS,” is an original four-part series that embraces Jeremy Renner’s lifelong passion to give back to communities around the world by reimagining unique purpose-built vehicles to meet a community’s needs. Every build has a purpose. Behind the big screen, Renner is a construction veteran with a passion for purchasing and re-imagining huge vehicles with the help of his connections in the worldwide fabricator culture. With his best friend and business partner, Rory Millikin, and an all-star build crew, Renner travels the globe to reimagine decommissioned vehicles and rebuild them to serve a new purpose, such as turning a tour bus into a mobile music studio, a delivery truck into a mobile water treatment facility, a shuttle bus into a mobile recreation center, and a city bus into a mobile dance studio. Along the way, Renner teams up with actor and producer Anthony Mackie (Marvel Studios’ “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’’), actress and entrepreneur Vanessa Hudgens (“Tick, Tick… Boom!”), actor and producer Anil Kapoor (“Mission Impossible,” “Slumdog Millionaire”) and singer and songwriter Sebastián Yatra (“Encanto”), who all share Renner’s enthusiasm and join him to deliver the finished vehicles to each organization.
In Rennervations there are four different organizations that are supported by Jeremy Renner and his team. For each of these organizations there is an episode dedicated and a decommissioned vehicle that is being reimagined. This includes turning a luxury tour bus into a music studio, another bus into a dance studio, a truck into a mobile water filtration system, and also a mobile recreation center. Along the way as he supports organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters and others around the globe (as far away as India!), he is not only joined by his team of friends to reimagine these vehicles, he also is joined by famous friends to help draw more excitement and attention to the organizations and efforts that are being supported.
Watching Rennervations is an enjoyable experience. It surprised me at how much heart was found in the series. Anyone who has watched the news knows that Jeremy Renner is a helper. However, this seems to be really a central motivation in his life. This is a guy with a LOT of heart who really wants to make a difference by helping one community at a time. He uses his influence for good. There is also quite a lot of imagination as well. Renner comes up with some borderline ridiculous ideas for these vehicles that when completed, really is awesome and ingenious. All of this done over the course of four weeks for each build.
Rennervations is an enjoyable series that really makes you feel good while watching it. While many people know Jeremy Renner as a super hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this series shows how Renner is really a hero when not on the big screen as well. This is a wonderful series that shows the good that is happening in the world and inspires people to use the gifts they have to make the world a better place. It is simple, it is fun, and it is on Disney+ starting April 12, 2023. Check it out!
