CHOC Walk is returning to the Disneyland Resort parks in 2023. During a special kickoff event, the news was shared with supporters of the CHOC Walk and media. This is the first time that the CHOC Walk will have supporters walking through the parks again since 2019. Since then, there has been a virtual CHOC Walk and then a CHOC Adventure.
The kickoff event included a wonderful dinner, recognition for those who make a difference for CHOC through fundraising and also the announcement of this year’s CHOC Walk Ambassador. The recognition and announcements came during a program that was hosted by Disneyland Resort Ambassador Mark Everett King Jr., some of the CHOC team, and even Mickey Mouse! This year the CHOC Walk Ambassador is Hudson Kent. He was introduced to those in attendance and his story was shared as well. He got cancer as a very young boy and the Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) not only helped him through this difficult time, it also helped support his family as well. One of the things that is so special about CHOC is that it doesn’t just provide medical treatment, it also provides care for patients and the family in other ways. These are ways that come from the heart and support families as they go through difficult times. The care that patients and their families receive from CHOC changes lives for the better and creates bonds that last a lifetime.
The CHOC Walk this year will be a very special event that will be raising funds for the hospital and its initiatives. This is an event that is a lot of fun and also will make a big difference. An exact date for the 2023 CHOC Walk has not been announced yet. However, when it is announced, Daps Magic will be reporting on that.
