The Dapper Dans brought out the green today at Disneyland. The four dapper gentleman appeared on Main Street throughout the day wearing green costumes. While their songs didn’t appear to change, they still wished people Happy St. Patrick’s Day during their sets. While walking out of the park, I (Mr. Daps) was able to catch most of one of their sets in front of the Main Street Firehouse. Below are the songs that they sang:
Jolly Holiday – Dapper Dans – St. Patrick’s Day at Disneyland
Java Jive – Dapper Dans – St. Patrick’s Day at Disneyland
Margie/Coney Island Washboard – Dapper Dans – St. Patrick’s Day at Disneyland
A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes – Dapper Dans – St. Patrick’s Day at Disneyland
Goodbye by Coney Island Baby – Dapper Dans – St. Patrick’s Day at Disneyland
While Disneyland doesn’t go all out for St. Patrick’s Day, these little details make things special for those who do celebrate. Throughout the park people could be seen wearing green clothes, hats, beads, and even green Mickey ears.
St. Patrick’s Day, or the Feast of St. Patrick, is celebrated on March 17th. This is the date that is recognized as St. Patrick’s death. Saint Patrick is known as the foremost patron saint of Ireland. Through the years, though, it has become a celebration of Irish culture. For many, this has means wearing green, going to parades, drinking green beverages, going to a pub, and/or eating Irish food.
