Updated Entrance Sign Arrives For Mickey’s Toontown at Disneyland

An updated sign is now in place at the entrance of Mickey’s Toontown. Found on the railroad bridge, this will be the entrance for this animated land once it reopens this spring. On January 27th, it will also be where guests go to experience Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway when it opens.

Daps Magic team member Steven was at Disneyland this morning and took some photos and video of this updated entrance sign. As can be seen below, there are references to the different friends that live in Mickey’s Toontown found in the letters. The spinning population numbers are also showing off the craziness of the land. Overall, the sign has a beautiful whimsical nature that will welcome guests to this happy land when it reopens. Mickey’s Toontown is set to reopen at the Happiest Place on Earth! on March 8, 2023. When it does, guests will find an even more magical and interactive version of the town than ever before. This will include the new CenTOONial Park, that will include two interactive experiences. There will be a fountain with interactive water features in the park along with a dreaming tree with roots that will be fun to crawl around and explore.

Over by Goofy’s house, guests will be able to enjoy Goofy’s How-To-Play Yard with its sound garden on the outside. Inside there will be the opportunity to see how Goofy makes candy with a contraption that only he could come up with. Guests will help Goofy make candy. While they do it, the appliances will create a musical symphony of sound that is appropriate for the location. Outside in the yard will be a pond that is part of the Goof residence. It will also be where Donald’s Boat is found. Just like in DuckTales, Donald Duck has once again found someone’s body of water (at least it isn’t Uncle Scrooge’s pool this time?) to dock his boat. The area will be a fun place to play with spinning water lilies, balance beams and rocking toys.

There will be some other fun places to visit in Mickey’s Toontown as well. Chip ‘n’ Dale’s GADGETcoaster will allow guests to experience the coaster brainchild of Gadget Hackwrench. Guests will also be able to stop by and visit Mickey’s House and Minnie’s House. Check out their decor and stories found throughout the house and then meet the world’s most beloved mice while there. On the other side of town, the recently updated Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin will make its return. There will also be Café Daisy and oontown Farmers Market at Good Boy! Grocers for when guests get hungry.

Mickey’s Toontown will be reopening on March 8, 2023. Are you excited about it? What do you think of the new entrance sign? Are you excited to experience Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
