On Wednesday, February 9, 2023, The Walt Disney Company will be discussing its first fiscal quarter of the 2023 financial year results. When it does, Bob Iger will once again be the CEO on the call. The last fiscal call that The Walt Disney Company held had former Disney CEO Bob Chapek on it. This call did not go well and within weeks Chapek would no longer be running the company and Iger was brought back in.
The results of the quarter will be released at the close of regular trading on February 8, 2023. The earnings call will be held via live audio webcast at 4:30 p.m. ET / 1:30 p.m. PT. The webcast can be listened to at www.disney.com/investors.
This call will undoubtedly be listened to closely by both the financial community and also Disney community as they look to see what Iger has done since returning as CEO and where he is taking the company as well. It will also be coming at a time when many questions are being asked about the best financial model for streaming, struggling stocks in the entertainment industry, and also what a succession plan for the Disney CEO looks like.
