Today, Walt Disney Imagineering reached a new milestone in the progress of Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana at EPCOT. This morning, Te Fiti was installed in the new experience that is being built at EPCOT. The news was shared on the Walt Disney Imagineering Instagram page today with the following post:
This morning, our project team at Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana welcomed Te Fiti at her position along the trail. This is a momentous milestone for the project team as we continue to bring this experience to life for EPCOT guests in Late 2023. Congratulations to the team of Imagineers and all of our partners that made this happen! Keep following along as we continue to share updates from Journey of Water as part of the World Nature neighborhood of EPCOT.

Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana is set to open at EPCOT sometime late in 2023. When it does open, guests will be able to see and interact with water as it goes on a journey from the sky to the oceans and then back again. The whole experience will be themed, unsurprisingly, around the story of Moana. Recently, Imagineering also showed some details that are carved into some of the rocks in the experience as well.
