Cast members at Hong Kong Disneyland came together on the morning of November 22, 2022, to celebrate a milestone in the construction of World of Frozen at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. Cast members and Hong Kong Disneyland Resort managing director Michael Moriarty, leaders, Imagineers, the Project team, and the Test and Adjust team, came together for the first cast engagement activity of the theme land. This moment was: the “Ice Magic Signing Moment.”
This group all signed their names on pieces of Ice Magic. These were then placed on the Arendelle Castle, becoming a part of the theme land. Cast members were thrilled to become a part of the story for the World of Frozen.
“I joined Park Operations in 2016 and moved to the World of Frozen Test and Adjust team this June, and today standing here having my name signed on the Ice Magic, I feel like I have grown up with this place,” said Fanchi Chan, Attraction Test and Adjust coordinator.
“Our team was very excited to join this iconic moment. It is truly memorable and meaningful for us to be part of a milestone of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort!”, Issac Lam, Attraction Test and Adjust coordinator, shared.
All of the Ice Magic pieces were inspired by the original movie Frozen. This is where Elsa gains control of her magic and uses Ice Magic to decorate areas throughout the land. Some of her creations can be seen in the movies, and others are completely unique to the World of Frozen.
