A new way to experience some beloved attractions at Tokyo Disneyland has been announced. Disney Story Beyond ” will focus on one attraction at a time and develop stories that go beyond those guests may be familiar with.” Basically, this will add more story elements and characters for guests to interact with virtually beyond what they are accustomed to experiencing on an attraction. The offering will be for a limited time.
The first story that is being explored is the Haunted Mansion. This will be done from January 26, 2023 through March 31, 2023 at Tokyo Disneyland. During this time, guests will be able to access new stories and character in multiple ways both inside and outside of the attraction. There will be augmented reality photo opportunities with ghosts and also “nazotoki,” which is a popular Mystery-Solving program that is in Japan. On top of that, there will also be merchandise available that will be themed to Disney Story Beyond – Haunted Mansion.
For those who can’t visit Tokyo Disneyland to get the full Disney Story Beyond experience, there will also be a way to participate. There will be a fan art event where original fan art will be able to be submitted showing the newest Haunted Mansion residents. There are ten of these residents to choose from. Details on submitting art can be found on the Tokyo Disney Resort website.
Disney Story Beyond is exclusive to Tokyo Disney Resort. Disney hopes that its will add extra storytelling elements that will help guests foster and even deeper love for the park.
