The Headless Horseman returned to Disney California Adventure ahead of the Frightfully Fun Parade. This was a part of the Oogie Boogie Bash, a special-ticketed Halloween party at Disney California Adventure. The Headless Horseman follows Ichabod Crane and two townspeople with lanterns. The Headless Horseman and Frightfully Fun Parade was presented twice during the Halloween party at Disney California Adventure.
Headless Horseman Pre-Parade – Oogie Boogie Bash
In the animated short, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, the Headless Horseman chases Ichabod Crane who is on his way home from a Halloween party where he had heard the tale of the Headless Horseman and been terrified. His fate is left unknown at the end of the story. It does appear that this is one of the very few Disney animated films where the villain triumphs in the end… or does he? This animated short was released in 1949 and featured the vocal talents of Bing Crosby.
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow
The arrival of the Headless Horseman and Ichabod Crane at the Disneyland Resort first came in 2017. The pre-parade became an instant hit with guests. For many, it is the highlight of the night. The Headless Horseman will be appearing ahead of the Frightfully Fun Parade twice a night at each Oogie Boogie Bash throughout the Halloween Time season at Disney California Adventure. All tickets are sold out for this year’s Oogie Boogie Bash events.
