Disney Shares Photos From FYC Events for “The Book of Boba Fett” and “Moon Knight”

Disney+ released photos from Emmy FYC events in Hollywood today featuring “The Book of Boba Fett” from Lucasfilm and Marvel Studios’ “Moon Knight,” which are both original series created exclusively for Disney+.

“The Book of Boba Fett” event kicked off this morning with a taped greeting of welcome from Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, followed by a screening of Episode 7 from Season 1 of the series. Director/executive producer Robert Rodriguez joined a panel of the series’ talented below-the line filmmakers that included Andrew Jones (production designer), Joseph Shirley (composer), Shawna Trpcic (costume designer) and Abbigail Keller (VFX producer) for a discussion about the making of the series. The panel was moderated by film critic and producer Scott Mantz.

“The Book of Boba Fett,” a thrilling Star Wars adventure teased in a surprise end-credit sequence following the Season 2 finale of “The Mandalorian,” finds legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate. The series launched exclusively on Disney+ December 29, 2021.

The “Moon Knight” event featured a screening of Episode 5 of the series, followed by a panel discussion moderated by Jenelle Riley, Deputy Awards and Features Editor at Variety. The panelists included stars Oscar Isaac (virtually) and May Calamawy, director/executive producer Mohamed Diab, head writer/executive producer Jeremy Slater, production designer Stefania Cella and costume designer Meghan Kasperlik.

“Moon Knight,” which began streaming exclusively on Disney+ March 30, follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. He discovers he has Dissociative Identity Disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.
