Disneyland Paris Provides Updated Look at Progress of Frozen-themed Land for Walt Disney Studios

While much of the attention at Walt Disney Studios at Disneyland Paris has been on Avengers Campus, work continues on the new Frozen-themed land. When it opens, guests will be immersed in the world of Frozen where Anna, Elsa, Olaf, and others reside! Today, Disney shared a look at the work being done on the new land. As can be seen below, it looks like things are just getting started!

When the land is finished, Disney shared that it will include:

  • Elsa’s Ice Castle, which will stand at the top of a 131-foot-high snow-covered mountain, can be admired from afar. Many new experiences await you in this magical land including a new attraction that will take guests on a journey accompanied by the iconic “Frozen” characters.
  • The village — with its Norwegian-inspired architectural style — will be home to both a shop and a restaurant that will serve meals with a Nordic touch.
  • Additionally, guests will have the opportunity to meet their favorite characters during a royal meet and greet.

“Since its release in 2013, Frozen has been one of our Guests’ favourite stories. With the start of the works related to this new area, along with the beautiful lakefront promenade which will lead to it, we are delighted to continue the expansion of Walt Disney Studios Park. We are leveraging all the creativity and expertise of our Walt Disney Imagineering teams – whether in Paris and elsewhere – along with local craftsmanship to bring Arendelle to life. This is bound to be an experience that will make our Guests’ hearts melt!” said David Wilson, Vice President of Walt Disney Imagineering Paris.

The new promenade will serve as a transition to new theme-based areas around this new lake that is being built. It will also serve as a way to visit the Kingdom of Arendelle. There will also be a new table-service restaurant with an Art Nouveau design along the edge of the lake. Guests will be able to enjoy the food, meet-and-greet with some of their favorite Disney characters, and enjoy beautiful views of the lake.

These projects are part of the expansion of Walt Disney Studios and the entire Disneyland Paris Resort. Along with Avengers Campus, it was also recently announced that the Disney Village is undergoing a transformation. What do you think of all the changes coming to Disneyland Paris?
