Lunar New Year at Disney California Adventure Returning to Disneyland Resort

The Lunar New Year celebration is returning to Disney California Adventure in 2022. The celebration will run from January 21 – February 13, 2022. Each year, Lunar New Year at Disney California Adventure commemorates the traditions of Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese cultures. The celebration includes multicultural performances, activities, themed food, décor, merchandise, and more.

2022 will be celebrating the year of the Tiger. As part of the celebration, Tigger will be joining Mulan and Mushu, Mickey and Minnie, the Three Little Pigs, and more for the festivities.

Another new addition to the Lunar New Year festivities will be Raya from Walt Disney Animation Studios Raya and the Last Dragon. This will be the first time that she appears at the Disneyland Resort. She will be found in the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail in a new location inspired by her homeland Kumandra.

Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession will be making a return this year. Mulan and Mushu will be joined by dozens of performers as together they honor family, friendship, and the potential for a fortune-filled new year. There will also be other live entertainment to be enjoyed at the Paradise Garden Bandstand.

For those who are looking forward to the festive foods, the Sip and Savor Pass will be making a return for Lunar New Year at Disney California Adventure. This will help guests get the most out of the four Lunar New Year Marketplaces. There will also be more themed foods found throughout Disney California Adventure to celebrate Lunar New Year.

Finally, the Lucky Wishing Wall and craft activities will again be returning to Disney California Adventure for guests to experience and enjoy.
