Residents and Offworlders on Batuu Celebrate Life Day at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland

November 17th is the day known as Life Day. This celebration originated as a Wookie holiday traditionally celebrated around the Tree of Life, which represented the first seed of life on the Wookie planet of Kashyyyk. With the fall of the Galactic Empire, this celebration became a galactic holiday celebrated after autumn. Throughout the galaxy, citizens would celebrate with festive decor, twinkling lights, food and drink, music, and other celebratory activities. The main point was the celebration of freedom and peace, despite people’s differences. At the end of the day, people would gather together and sing songs to remind of their dedication, courage, and love for one another. 

This year the Life Day, citizens and offworlders gathered on Batuu at Black Spire Outpost to celebrate this holiday on November 17th. New merchandise and food was available. Songs were sung. Memories were made.

There was some merchandise available as well on Batuu for Life Day. DAPS MAGIC team member Angela checked out what was still there in the evening. Here is what she found:
