Here’s What to Expect at A Touch of Disney at Disney California Adventure

A Touch of Disney starts today at Disney California Adventure! This food experience allows guests to visit Disney California Adventure and get a wonderful dose of magic while also getting the opportunity to try some favorite foods from around the Disneyland Resort. This event is sold out and runs from March 18 through April 19.

When guests arrive at the Disneyland Resort, they will park at the Mickey & Friends parking structure. After security and health screenings, they will walk the tram route to the Esplanade and eventually Disney California Adventure. There, they will enter the park and get to experience A Touch of Disney.

Health and Safety Reminders

Health and safety is incredibly important in this day and age and Disney takes this very seriously. There are multiple reminders throughout the park in many different formats. They promote physical distancing, wearing face coverings correctly, and other health and safety guidelines that have become part of going to a Disney Park in this day and age. Before entering the park each guest has their temperature taken as part of the health screening. These guidelines have become an important part of not only creating a safe environment for guests and Cast Members, but also allowing room for the magic to blossom.

There is quite a lot of different food options to be found (a full look at the menu can be found here). Transactions can be made with the Disneyland App and every effort is made for contactless transactions. A $25 gift card is given as part of the ticket price that can be used for many foods. It cannot be used for alcohol, however. Food must be consumed at least 6 feet away from other groups and also when stationary. There are tables throughout the park for guests to enjoy their food.

Various Disney and Pixar characters can be found throughout Disney California Adventure. This includes Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Pluto, Goofy, Max, Lightning McQueen, Tow Mater, Chip and Dale, Joy, and Sadness. Each character is found in places that allow for physical distancing from guests. Many have great locations for taking photos. Keep your eyes open as you wander around Disney California Adventure for those magical friends who are waving as you walk by! Also, remember to stay physically distant from your fellow guests when trying to take pictures/selfies with the characters!

Photo Opportunities

Along with Disney and Pixar characters throughout the park, there are also photo opportunities and photopass photographers in Disney California Adventure. Photos taken by photopass while at A Touch of Disney will be available for download for no extra charge as part of the admission price. There are some fun photo ops to be found throughout the park!

A Touch of Disney is exactly what the name implies. A chance for guests to return and get a touch of Disney magic again after Disneyland and Disney California Adventure have been closed for over a year now. This event will close just weeks before the parks officially reopen on April 30th. Below DAPS MAGIC will share a playlist of all the videos that are shot during our coverage of A Touch of Disney. Check back regularly to see updates.
