Disneyland Annual Passes Say Goodbye – GEEKS CORNER – Episode 1116 (#539)

Welcome to this week’s episode of GEEKS CORNER! Each week the geeks enjoy geeking out about all that is going on in the Disney geek world and beyond. After all, it’s good to be a geek, especially a Disney geek. Right!? This week, there is a lot of ground to cover.

The show began with the breaking news that the Hall of Presidents had closed for refurbishment after Magic Kingdom closed on Tuesday night. This presumptively is so that a President Joe Biden can be added to the attraction. The geeks share some other outlandish ideas for how the show could go… and yes, they involve The Muppets.

The Muppets were also the big story of the day with the announcement that all five seasons of The Muppet Show is coming to Disney+ in February. The geeks enjoy chatting about this as well.

At the Disneyland Resort, there was both good news and not so happy news this week. First, it was announced that the Disneyland Annual Pass program is over. The geeks chat about this and the feelings around this topic. In happier news, Star Wars Trading Post is getting moved to the former Rainforest Cafe.

Moving over to Disney+, this week the world got to see the first two episodes of WandaVision. The geeks chat about the show a bit. Doug Marsh also did a fantastic article on the filming locations for the first two episodes as well.

Finally, Adventures by Disney announced some expedition cruises this week to Antarctica and the Galapagos Islands. The geeks chat about the potentials for these cruises and other places they could go.

What do you think about all of these topics? Share your thoughts in the comments below! We’ll see you in the corner!
