Disney Vacation Club Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Reopening Postponed

The reopening of the Disney Vacation Club Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian has been delayed as California cases of coronavirus continue to rise. Originally, the Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa were set to reopen on December 6th for Disney Vacation Club members. However, due to the new guidelines imposed by the state of California, this will no longer happen.

The postponing of the reopening date comes as new stay at home guidelines are being imposed for Southern California. At this point, a new reopening date has not been announced. This was to be the only reopening of any of the hotels at the Disneyland Resort. The Disneyland Hotel and Paradise Pier were to remain closed. This change means that none of the hotels, or parts of them, will be reopening anytime soon.

Currently, the Disneyland Resort parks remain closed as well with only the Downtown Disney District open again. It recently expanded to include Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure. The most recent guidelines restrict both indoor and outdoor dining. Disney has not yet announced how this will impact the operations for the Downtown Disney District.

DAPS MAGIC will continue to follow this story and provide updates as they become available. What do you think about the postponing of the reopening of The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
