2020 has been a year full of unexpected surprises. Many of the Disney Parks around the globe spent a good portion of the year closed. As they have slowly reopened (and some sadly again closed) the Disney Parks have provided magic, hope, and comfort for the guests who have visited. This week, Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort added even more magic for guests to enjoy with the arrival of its holiday decorations.
The holiday decorations at Magic Kingdom include garland, toy soldiers, Christmas lights, and of course a beautiful Christmas tree! Disney photographers took pictures of some of these decorations after they went up and they were shared with DAPS MAGIC. Take a look at the photos below and see what the park looks like during the merriest season of the year!
This year the holiday celebrations will be a bit different at Walt Disney World Resort. Due to the continued impact of COVID-19, there will be no parades, fireworks, or Christmas parties as the Magic Kingdom. Instead, there will be more cavalcades, character moments, merchandise, and specialized food. Cinderella Castle will also not be getting the normal lights adorning it, instead, it will receive holiday lighting and projections.
What do you think of this different approach to the holidays at Magic Kingdom? Will you be visiting the park during this special time? What are you most looking forward to this year during the holidays at the Magic Kingdom? Let us know in the comments below!
