Disney magic is returning around the world! This afternoon, Disney announced that Aulani Resort & Spa in Hawaii would begin a phased reopening to guests on November 1!
Recently, Hawaii announced a plan for out-of-state to bypass the quarantine rules of Hawaii. Starting October 15, if someone wants to travel from outside of Hawaii, they can take the FDA’s COVID-19 test and receive a negative result within 72 hours of travel to bypass the quarantine. Due to this new rule, tourism to Hawaii will begin again this fall!
In light of this announcement, Disney has made the decision to reopen Aulani, A Disney Resort and Spa. While it is not certain at this time what the phased reopening will look like, Disney has noted that they are working closely with U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as the U.S. Travel Association to make decisions that will be best for the safety of guests. Personally, I would not be surprised to see things similar to what we have seen in theme parks, like mask requirements, temperature checks, and socially distanced meet and greets.
They have also noted that they are so excited to welcome Disney Vacation Club members and guests when Aulani Resort reopens again and can begin creating magic. I am personally thrilled to see another Disney location opening up, as I think we are all in need of a little magic. Disney has proven that they can do these things safely around the world!
