Today it was announced that Disney+ will be celebrating May the 4th with the release of Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian and also the final episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian is a behind the scenes look at the making of The Mandalorian. Executive Producer Jon Favreau will be joined by both the cast and crew as they share just how this incredibly popular show was created.
The release of this will come on Monday, May 4th, the popular day to celebrate Star Wars among fans. It won’t stop on this day though. Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian is an eight-episode documentary series. Each chapter will give fans a different perspective on the first live-action Star Wars television show with each episode having a specific focus. The series will include interviews, never-before-seen footage, and also roundtable conversations that Jon Fraveau will be hosting.
“’Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian’ is an opportunity for fans of the show to take a look inside and get to see a different perspective, and perhaps a greater understanding, of how The Mandalorian came together and some of the incredibly talented contributors throughout Season 1,” said Favreau. “We had a great experience making the show and we’re looking forward to sharing it with you.”
There will be quite a range of topics that will covered throughout the course of the season. They will include:
- Filmmaking process
- Legacy of George Lucas’ Star Wars
- How the cast brought the character to life
- Technology utilized for The Mandalorian
- Artistry behind the practical models, effects, and creatures
- Creative Influences
- The Score
- Connections to Star Wars characters and props from across the galaxy
Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian will be premiering three days after the first season of The Mandalorian concludes in the United Kingdom, France, Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Austria, and Switzerland. After debuting on May 4th, new episodes of Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian will be streaming every Friday on Disney+.
