So What’d You Think?
First off, this trailer is a lot of fun. It also is exactly what one would expect from Wreck-It Ralph. The various properties and characters showcased are fun to see but as I watched it, I found unsurprising. Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 is going to be a synergizing monster it appears. This looks like it will create some really fun moments. It also looks like Disney is having some fun poking at itself in this film which could be entertaining as well. The whole Disney realm on the internet, including princesses, looks like it will be an absolute blast! The portrayal if the internet looks like it is done in a way that is visually appealing and also makes sense for what the internet would be like for them. There also appears to be some fun poked at some common internet-isms here as well. All in all, this looks like it will be a really fun movie. My one concern is if it will rely too heavily on gimmicks. I do think there is always the risk of having synergy turning into cliche gimmicks. While what I’ve seen so far was incredibly entertaining, I do think there is the potential. However, if the movie really relies on telling a solid story and these just are sprinkles on top, it will be awesome!
