This weekend Disneyland revealed its new preview for Marvel Studios Ant-Man and the Wasp. The preview can be found in Tomorrowland’s Magic Eye Theater. It is introduced by Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lily. They play Ant-Man and the Wasp respectively in the movie. Following this, the preview is played. More details will be below the trailer that might have spoilers. The trailer itself consists of some scenes that have already been revealed in trailers and clips already, along with some new moments. Thankfully, this preview does not appear to reveal too much about the movie. I walked out of it thinking that it looks like a fun movie but without really knowing what to expect. In many ways, it set my expectations to about where they were before I saw the original Ant-Man. This is a fun preview and a nice air conditioning break on a warm day. It is in 3-D but it doesn’t utilize the other effects that the theater has.

The preview begins with a brief introduction and gag by Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly. After Rudd takes an Ant-Man sized screen and throws it into the full screen, the real preview begins. It starts with Scott Lang and his daughter creating their own Ant-Man adventure. The scene is really quite cute. After their adventure is over, the two sit and talk as they lean against a bed. This scene has been seen in several teasers before. They talk about how he is doing Ant-Man again but is having a hard time getting things right. This leads to her suggesting he needs help. The preview than cuts to several scenes seen in several teasers and trailers before. Most of them are playing up Ant-Man and the Wasp working together and playing with size. It then pivots forward to the two of them being in a school with the Ant-Man suit having some issues. These issues lead to some sizing problems and a series of gags because of the suit problems that relate to being at school.
Ant-Man and the Wasp will be hitting theaters on July 6, 2018. This preview gives every indication that this will be much like the first one, fun and on its own scale… just like one would expect from a hero that goes by the name Ant-Man.
