Disney is in process of developing a live-action remake of the animated classic Lady and the Tramp. The movie, originally released by Disney in 1955 tells of a purebred cocker spaniel named Lady and a rough and tough street dog named Tramp. Their lives end up being intertwined as the Tramp rescues Lady from a series of unfortunate events. The movie has one of the most iconic romance moments of all time as they eat spaghetti to the tune of Bella Notte behind Tony’s Italian restaurant. There are other magical moment and songs in this Disney animated classic as well.
Lady and the Tramp is now being developed by Disney to be screened on the yet-to-be-named Disney streaming service. According to Deadline, Disney has hired The Lego Ninjago Movie director Charlie Bean to direct this CGI. He will be joining Andrew Bujalski, who wrote the script for this new version of this film, and producer Brigham Taylor.
Precisely how this film is being adapted isn’t yet known. When it will be released isn’t known either. What is known is that it will appear on the Disney streaming service which is set to launch sometime in late 2019.
