SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY Trailer and Posters Arrive Following Super Bowl Reveal

During the Super Bowl, the first look at Solo: A Star Wars Story was revealed to the world. This 45-second teaser gave a glimpse into what will be coming on May 25th when this next Star Wars movie comes out. Now, a full trailer, posters, and stills have been released as the marketing juggernaut that is the Walt Disney Company begins its synergistic push for this movie. In some ways, this is just as exciting as the movie itself! Solo: A Star Wars Story will tell the origins of one of the most beloved friendships in moviedom. This is, of course, the friendship between Han Solo and Chewbacca. It also will show how they ended up with the Millennium Falcon together. Watch this trailer and let us know what you think of it:

Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in “Solo: A Star Wars Story,” an all-new adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo befriends his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and meets the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes.

The film stars Alden Ehrenreich, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Paul Bettany.

As you can see, there are definitely some things that are different about these characters and ship than what we are used to currently. The Millenium Falcon being one of the most drastic of changes. The ship clearly has been modified and stripped through the years. In this movie, it has hull plating, looks very clean inside and out, and even has a different hull shape on the front. The characters we do know are similar but different, as one could expect. Really, the only thing that is exactly what we would expect at this point is Chewbacca. They are also joined by some new adventurers that look to be scoundrels that I’m really looking forward to getting to know better. I do have to wonder if there will be any nods to other characters in the Star Wars universe when this movie comes out and if there are, which ones.

Posters for Solo: A Star Wars Story were also released today for this movie. Each poster showcases one of the four main characters: Solo, Lando, Qira, and Chewie.

Stills from the trailer were also released that offer more detailed looks into some of the scenes shown. This includes characters, a new droid, and familiar ship interior, and a couple of new locations.

Now that we have seen something official from Solo: A Star Wars Story, what do you think of it? Are you excited for it? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
