A Big Trailer for Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp

Perhaps an underdog for the Marvel Cinematic Universe is Ant-Man.  The movie wasn’t too anticipated but ended up being a hit.  It made the sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp that much more desired.  The first trailer for the July release is finally out.

We see Scott Lang, Hank Pym, and Hope Van Dyne again.  But, we also get to see the new characters of Bill Foster and the Ghost.  They’re not new to Marvel Comics fans, but to the MCU.

I’m excited to see Bill Foster.  In the comics, he’s the eventual inheritor of the Goliath mantle.  Hank Pym was the first to take on the Goliath identity, growing large instead of small.  Bill Foster is the modern incarnation.  It’s fitting he appears in the film and could become Goliath by the end.  He’s also played by Lawrence Fishburne which means two Academy Award-nominated actors are appearing in the movie.

I’m even more excited to see the Ghost!  The Ghost is played by Hannah John-Kamen and is the villain of the story (most likely).  In the comics it’s been a “he” so this will be a fresh take on the character.  The Ghost is a super hacker that also can turn invisible and intangible.  I think it’s the perfect foil to two characters that can change size to sneak around as well.  The Ghost has been a fun spy villain in the comics, so it continues the subterfuge of the first movie.

I’m greatly looking forward to the film!  What do you think of the trailer?  Let us know in comments below!
