Marvel Studios Poised to Move From the Past and Vault into the Future!

Marvel Studios has had an unprecedented string of successes under the guidance of Kevin Feige. Over the last 10 years since the release of Iron Man, fans have come to know and love a group of heroes that came together to become the Avengers.  This coming year, Marvel will be releasing Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War. With these releases will not only come new adventures for these Marvel heroes, but it will also mark a time of transition.

In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Feige gave some insight into what the future holds saying, “Marvel is 22 movies in and we’ve got another 20 movies on the docket that are completely different from anything that’s come before – intentionally. ‘Avengers 4’ will bring things you’ve never seen in superhero films: a finale.

There will be two distinct periods. Everything before Avengers 4 and everything after. I know it will not be in ways people are expecting. Everything after,” Feige said.

With contracts running out after the last Avengers movie for many of the original characters/actors, a whole new generation of super heroes will be stepping forward to save the day… and apparently many days to come. Disney has confirmed that there is 20 years of content plotted out for Marvel Studios. Some of those heroes that will move the plot forward includes Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), and Captain Marvel (Brie Larson). There will be more than just this though. Marvel has around 7,000 characters in its catalogue. Both Disney CEO Bob Iger and Feige have said that the Marvel movies will be going to different times, places, and even realms as the movies progress.

What does this mean for Marvel movie fans? There is a LOT to look forward to moving forward. While one era appears to be nearing an end for the Marvel movies, another is being built on the foundation built by the first. Marvel movies should continue to get more exciting, more creative, and yes… more super!
