Sunday Spotlight: Five & Dime at Disney California Adventure

Five & Dime to get new tunes for Disneyland 60th

There are many fun magical moments to discovered and experienced at Disney California Adventure, especially since being re-imagined. One of my favorite magical moments is when a big jalopy makes its way up Hollywood Blvd to Carthay Circle. It is loaded with a fun little jazz group and a phenomenal jazz singer. Five & Dime then performs in Carthay Circle in front of the Storytellers Statue.

Five & Dime is a show about pursuing dreams and friends coming together to do something amazing. As with so many things in life; when friends come together, amazing things happen. This show is a wonderful blend of comedy, jazz music, and Disney magic. The opening number includes Goofy joining Dime as she sings Ain’t We Got Fun.

There have been two incarnations of this show. The first one came with the grand opening of Carthay Circle and Buena Vista Street. The current version was unveiled as part of the Disneyland Resort’s 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration.
