Soundsational, Boysenberry Festival, and Belle & Beast Go On A Date – Sundays With DAPs Disneyland & Knott’s Update

This weekend was full of Springtime fun at not just one, but two resorts.  Disneyland has ongoing Spring fun as the Easter season has already kicked off.  Knott’s Berry Farm started the Boysenberry Festival with lots of entertainment and great treats to savor.

The Boysenberry Festival has a lot to see and do.  There’s a livery stable with sheep shearing, a new show in Calico Square, games to entertain families and have them participate, and great food to taste!

Over at Disneyland, as summer approaches, work continues on Star Wars Land and the Rivers of America.

One thing that has returned in the meantime is the Soundsational Parade.  It’s great to have this back going down the parade route of Disneyland.  It always has great music and colorful floats and dancers to entertain.  It only has one performance a day, which means that unless you stake out a spot to see it you won’t get another chance on a one day visit.

There are many great Spring sights as flowers are in bloom.  The weather adds to it with clear skies and the sun shining down.  It makes for great photo opportunities around the park, and even with some characters.  Daisy Duck posed for us on her way out of Town Square, for example.

In Fantasyland, one event that has been happening often is sightings of Belle and the Beast from Beauty and the Beast taking a ride on the carousel.  Right before this, Gaston was giving them a hard time as he tried to draw the attention of a crowd from them to him.  While the couple rode, Gaston had the crowd yell his name each time they passed by.  It was a very entertaining ride.  It’s a great moment as it makes it look like Belle and the Beast are out on a date.

Something that has appeared in the Opera House on Main Street are some environmentally friendly sculptures done by various departments of the park to promote Earth Day.  They resemble scenes or characters from Disney movies or attractions.  They’ll be in the Opera House until the 13th, then move to Disney California Adventure the 15th, and finally to Downtown Disney the 22nd.  Guests can vote for their favorite.

It’s a great time to go to Disneyland, even with some Spring Break crowds descending on the parks.  There is beautiful scenery and great little things to behold.  Knott’s Berry Farm is another great place to go to from April 1 to 23, which is the Boysenberry Festival.  Be sure to pick up a tasting card there to get all the delicious food!
