La Brea Bakery

Check Out the Fresh Caprese Sandwich at Downtown Disney’s La Brea Bakery Express

Quick, simple and delicious. That is something you might be keeping in mind when running around all day at the Disneyland Resort. You know you will be hungry and if you have a day jam packed with things to do, finding food that is ready to go is key. Over at the La Brea Bakery in Downtown Disney, there are many yummy options to enjoy on the express side. Yes, this location does have a sit down restaurant section and an express section, each with great food options. In this post, I will be focusing on the express side.

For those who are vegetarian, food can be hard to find but not at the Disneyland Resort. A great place to eat at the resort as well as in the Downtown Disney District is La Brea Bakery. Located at near the World of Disney Store, this location offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Items on the menu include pastries, soups, salads, sandwiches and more.

A go to item on the menu is the Caprese Sandwich. Guests can either have this sandwich hot or cold. In this case, I picked up my sandwich in the refrigerated section of the restaurant and wanted it cold. If you would like it hot, all you have to do it order it hot and they will prepare it for you. This sandwich also has the side option of chips or a mixed greens salad.

La Brea Bakery – Caprese

The sandwich itself is really flavorful. I know sometimes people would rather eat in the parks, but trust me, this meal and location is great. The Caprese Sandwich is simple as it comes; fresh basil, mozzarella, tomato and pesto, all served on crisp bread. The cheese is soft and blends perfectly with the pesto. Whether you pick the salad or chips, both pair well. This is quick service dining at its finest.

Quick side note, if you are interested in enjoying bowl of tomato soup and are a vegetarian, the employee at this location noted that there is chicken stock in the soup. So you may not want to order this soup.

The La Brea Bakery Express has great food and no matter the time of day it is, they will have something to make your stomach happy.

Be sure to stay tuned to DAPs Magic as I venture through the Disneyland Resort tasting other delicious vegetarian options. You never know what may appear on my plate next.

Hope you enjoyed this meal recap. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
