Disney Weekend Marathon

Runners from all over the world are at Walt Disney World for the resort's marathon weekend. 

A record-breaking 32,000 participants are expected at the biggest on-property event of the year.

Those runners rank the Marathon as one of the top-10 marathons in the world.  

Because of the race routes, a number of property-wide road closures and delays are expected throughout the weekend.

Today, the Pirate and Princess 5K winds through the Disney MGM-studios.

Saturday morning, the Half Marathon will take place across property, starting at 6 a.m.

On Sunday, the Walt Disney World Marathon kicks off bright and early at 6 a.m., with an awards ceremony that night at Downtown Disney.
