On this day in 2015, Disneynature’s ‘Monkey Kingdom’ was released in theaters. The film was narrated by Tina Fey and follows a troupe of macaque monkeys living in ancient ruins within Sri Lanka. The lowborn Maya and her newborn son Kip have to navigate complicated social structures and limited resources to survive. When a rival troupe pushes the group out of their home, Maya uses her cleverness to provide for her family and fight for their future.
