On this day in 2005, ‘Herbie: Fully Loaded’ was released in theaters. The film starred Lindsay Lohan, Michael Keaton, and Matt Dillon, as well as cameos from NASCAR drivers appearing as themselves. ‘Herbie: Fully Loaded’ was the sixth and final movie in ‘The Love Bug’ franchise and the first theatrical release since 1980’s ‘Herbie Goes Bananas.’ Maggie Peyton, the youngest in a NASCAR family, partners with Herbie the sentient VW Beetle to learn the ropes of racing.
