On this day in 1995, the Disneyland Pacific Hotel opened in Anaheim. Disney purchased the property from the Tokyu Group, based in Japan. The structure has gone through four name changes so far, with another on the way. It has been the Emerald of Anaheim, the Pan Pacific Hotel, the Disneyland Pacific Hotel, and is now the Paradise Pier Hotel. It will soon gain the title, Pixar Place Hotel.
