On this day in 1992, Walt Disney’s private plane Mickey Mouse One took its final flight before being retired at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The plane became an important part of how Walt conducted business. Also known as “The Mouse,” the plane was used for research trips, as transportation to and from the New York World’s Fair, to entertain VIP guests, and as a movie “extra.” Over 83,000 passengers flew on 8,800 flights across 5 million miles!
