Another five years had passed, and Disneyland was turning 30. Disneyland was also about to be shaken up by the arrival of a new leadership team, headed up by Michael Eisner. Among their earlier successes was the promotion of the 30th birthday, with parades, celebrities, and the Gift Giver Extraordinaire, which handed out prizes ranging from plush toys to new cars, as record crowds entered at the front gates.
