Work continues on the Disney Destiny ahead of its maiden voyage on November 20, 2025. When the ship does depart in November from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Fla, it will be sporting a beautiful filigree on its bow.
With the completion of putting the different parts of the ship together, work has begun on some of the magical details that make a Disney ship so iconic. The first thing that workers at the Meyer Werft shipyard focused on is the beautiful and whimsical artwork found on the bow of the Disney Destiny. This art depicts Minnie Mouse in a striking new valiant pose in her new heroic ensemble. She has her cape blowing behind her and her outfit symbolizes Disney Destiny’s “Heroes and Villains” theme. This is a first for the Disney Cruise Line.

The filigree on the bow of the Disney Destiny is both elegant and hand-painted. It continues a Disney Cruise Line tradition that dates back to the first ship in the fleet, the Disney Magic. Ever since then, each Disney Cruise Line vessel has had a distinct character-inspired image painted on its bow.
As things get closer to the delivery of the Disney Destiny, the Meyer Werft shipyard team will continue to add more details to the ship’s exterior and interior. Daps Magic will continue to monitor these updates and share them. This ship is shaping up to be a beautiful one!
