Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro and Disney Entertainment Co-Chairman Alan Bergman will be speaking this year at SXSW (South by Southwest). While an exact time and place hasn’t been announced, a description for their Featured Session called The Future of World-Building at Disney was shared by SXSW. It is as follows:

SXSW is taking place in Austin, Texas from March 7-15 this year. SXSW is a conference that celebrates the intersection of film, music, technology, education, and culture and helps creative people achieve their goals. It started in 1987 and takes place each year in Austin. Throughout the event, there will be sessions, music and comedy showcases, film and television screenings, world-class exhibitions, professional development and networking opportunities, tech competitions, awards ceremonies, and much more.
Josh D’Amaro is the Chairman of Disney Experiences. In this role, he leads Disney Parks, Disney Signature Experiences, Disney Cruise Line, along with Disney Vacation Club, Adventures by Disney, Storyliving by Disney, Walt Disney Imagineering, and Disney Consumer Products. Alan Bergman is the Co-Chairman of Disney Entertainment. He oversees Disney’s portfolio of entertainment media and content businesses globally. This also includes Disney’s streaming business. Bergman leads all of Disney’s studios including Disney, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios, and Searchlight Pictures. Along with content creation, he oversees the marketing, operations, technology, theatrical distribution, and business groups for these brands. He also oversees Disney Music Group and Disney Theatrical Group.
