The Disney Destiny is a ship that is currently being constructed at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. When completed, it will be the seventh ship to join the Disney Cruise Line fleet. It will also be the third Wish-class ship to join the fleet. It is expected to join the fleet on November 20, 2025.
Ahead of the ship’s arrival at its home port in Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the Disney Parks Blog has shared a Ship’s Log with updates on the progress being made on this beautiful ship.
The first progress report is a fun one. The Disney Cruise Line shared that the final blocks, or sections of the ship, were put into place in late 2024. This means that the exterior of the ship is now structurally complete. This is a major milestone in the construction of this ship ahead of its arrival in November. The crew at Meyer Werft along with Walt Disney Imagineers are hard at work outfitting the interior of the ship.
Along with providing a progress report on the Disney Destiny, the Disney Cruise Line also shared a time-lapse video of the Disney Destiny’s progress. This includes a look at how it was being built alongside the Disney Treasure in the shipyard.
The theme for the Disney Destiny is Heroes and Villains. Throughout the ship, there will be plenty of characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe aboard. This will include the Worlds of Marvel restaurant, a lounge inspired by Dr. Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum, and a statue of the Black Panther in the Grand Hall. There are many other exciting experiences and details that will be found on the Disney Destiny. Daps Magic will be posting all of the updates here.
