$400 Lightning Lane Premier Pass Coming to Disneyland Resort

A new type of Lightning Lane pass is coming to the Disneyland Resort. On the same day it was revealed to be coming to Walt Disney World Resort, it was also unveiled for the Disneyland Resort as well. Called the Lightning Lane Premier Pass, it will allow guests to return to any Lightning Lane experience at any time they choose. They will be able to do this once per experience throughout the day at both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.

The Disneyland Resort shared that “starting October 23, 2024, at the Disneyland Resort, we will begin piloting the rollout of Lightning Lane Premier Pass with very limited quantities available.” Note that with the very limited quantities, it is very possible that these will sell out quickly. This is part of a pilot program at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts.

The new Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be available starting on October 23rd at the Disneyland Resort. When it debuts, it will cost $400 per person per day. This price will remain the same through the rest of 2024. In 2025 it will begin to utilize variable pricing and range from $300 to $400. Prices will be revealed two days in advance. Lightning Lane Premier Passes can be purchased two days before a park visit through the Disneyland app starting at 7:00 AM PT. To utilize the pass in both parks, be sure to have the park hopping option on your ticket or utilize a Magic Key.

  3. Enjoy photo perks as well. This includes digital downloads of select attraction photos and videos. Plus, unlock Disney PhotoPass Lenses.

How to Purchase and Use Lightning Lane Premier Pass

Starting October 23, 2024, at the Disneyland Resort, we will begin piloting the rollout of Lightning Lane Premier Pass with very limited quantities available.

Lightning Lane Premier Passes can be purchased via the Disneyland app up to 2 days in advance of your park visit, starting at 7:00 AM Pacific Time (subject to very limited availability).

Before You Begin
Please make sure that everyone in your party has valid theme park admission and park reservations for the same date, linked to your MyDisney account—so you can purchase Lightning Lane Premier Passes for everyone who is eligible.

How to Purchase
Open the Disneyland app and search for “Lightning Lane Premier Pass”. Tap “Purchase” to get started. Follow the prompts to complete your purchase—and receive a confirmation.

Price
Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be priced at $400 per person, per day for park visits through December 31, 2024. Beginning in 2025, pricing will vary by date and demand within a $300 to $400 range.

Prices will be displayed in the Disneyland app up to 2 days in advance of your park visit. Purchasing is subject to very limited availability.

Top Tips for Using This Pass
Make the most of your Lightning Lane Premier Pass with these helpful tips:

  • Start Your Day Early: We recommend getting to the theme parks early—as soon as they open. Check the park calendar and operating hours before you go.
  • Visit Both Disneyland Theme Parks: You can use your Lightning Lane Premier Pass for one-time access to each available Lightning Lane entrance at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park—for one day, during regular park hours. Just be sure your park admission includes the Park Hopper benefit.

Important Information

  • Lightning Lane Premier Passes are nonrefundable and nontransferable. Valid admission and a park reservation are required in order to purchase a Lightning Lane Premier Pass. To visit more than one park in the same day, your valid theme park admission must include the Park Hopper benefit.
  • Limit one Lightning Lane entry per attraction, per day.
  • Lightning Lane passes and attractions may vary by date, are subject to change or closure, are limited in availability and are not guaranteed, and may not be available at all on the day of visit or at the time of redemption for Lightning Lane entry. Availability can change throughout the day.
  • Price, terms and entitlements are subject to restrictions, and change or cancellation without notice.
