Bluey’s Best Day Ever! is now being offered daily in the Fantasyland Theatre at Disneyland. This celebration of all that is Bluey sees the Fantasyland Theatre transformed into the schoolyard of Bluey’s school. While guests visit, they can sing, dance, and play with Bluey, enjoy some fave foods, take photos, experience activities, and a whole lot more. This is meant to be an all-immersive experience for Bluey fans to enjoy.

Ahead of the start of Bluey’s Best Day Ever!, Daps Magic was invited to a media preview of the offering at Fantasyland Theatre. While there, Mr. Daps had the opportunity to interview many people who helped bring this experience to Disneyland. One of these people was Susana Tubert, a Creative Director for Disney Live Entertainment. She helped bring the show to life, and in the following interview, she shares about what went into creating this experience.

• The creative team spent a great amount of time researching the Bluey series to learn from it before creating this experience.
• Great pains were taken to take the quirky moments of the show and translate them to the Disneyland experience while maintaining the heartfelt beats.
• There are some familiar places from the show that fans will recognize, including the Fairy Garden, Gnome Village, and Barky Boats.
• Rather than traditional meet and greets, Bluey and Bingo are meant to be more alive as they dance, interact, and communicate with the children.
• The experience also includes some nods to the shows by including things like the Grouchy Grannies, Unicorse, and Chattermax.
• Great care was taken to work together between Disney and the Bluey team to make for an experience for all ages to enjoy, “shared play.”
