New Disney Cruise Line Ship Name Revealed

Today, Disney held its annual shareholder meeting. During the meeting, new Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro took center stage. With a gracious presentation that honored former Disney CEO Bob Iger, D’Amaro also looked toward the future. This included revealing what the next Disney Cruise Line ship will be named, as the fleet continues to expand. Ultimately, at this time, the Disney Cruise Line fleet is expected to grow to the size of 13 ships by 2031.

During the shareholder meeting, D’Amaro revealed that the next ship to join the fleet will be named the Disney Believe. This will be the fourth ship in the Wish-class for Disney. It will be a tribute to those dreamers and doers who dare to pursue their own happily ever after. It will share the beloved Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars that fans know and love from the moment they board the ship. This will include incredible entertainment that could only be made by Disney, thoughtful spaces, and details crafted throughout the ship to bring storytelling to life at sea.

The Wish class is extra magical as each ship features its own unique theme and design that shapes the stories shared and experiences that are had by those who cruise on the ship. Disney Believe’s motif will be: one of promise and possibilities. This joins other themes from its sister ship:

Enchantment-themed Disney Wish
Adventure-themed Disney Treasure
Heroes and villains-themed Disney Destiny

Guests who board the Disney Believe will get to experience the powerful tales of characters who believe in themselves and their dreams, which will be brought to life in exciting new ways. Stories that guests will get to experience on the Disney Believe range from the “mystical worlds of Encanto and Frozen, to the wishing wells of Snow White, to the depths of the sea with Moana and The Little Mermaid.” There will be endless stories waiting to be discovered and experienced with new chapters made ready to unfold onboard.

The Disney Believe is scheduled to debut in late 2027. More information will be released about the ship in the future. Many other exciting things are happening with Disney Cruise Line, including the introduction of a brand-new class of ships in 2029. In 2029, Disney cruise Vacations will be introduced in Japan by an agreement between  Disney and Oriental Land Co., Ltd. (OLC).
