Jumpin' Jellyfish - Disney California Adventure

Jumpin’ Jellyfish Reopens at Disney California Adventure

Recently, guests at Disney California Adventure who have walked by Jumpin’ Jellyfish may have noticed that the kid-friendly attraction was surrounded by scrim. On Friday, while the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival kicked off, this attraction reopened…. kind of. The attraction did reopen on Friday, but not the entire attraction. Scrim still surrounds some of the attraction that takes guests on a ride up and down that mimics how jellyfish float.

Daps Magic team member Steven stopped by Disney California Adventure on Friday morning to see if Jumpin’ Jellyfish reopened. When he saw it had, he took the following video of the attraction. This shows what is open and what isn’t for the attraction. Take a look below!

Jumpin’ Jellyfish Official Description

Float high into the sky above Paradise Bay aboard a colourful jellyfish before gently sinking back down to dry land.

Take the Plunge

Swim over to one of 12 jellyfish and ascend a towering 40-foot tall kelp bed. At the top, take in sweeping views of Paradise Bay before gracefully gliding down and then up—again and again—as you slowly make your way back to the ground.

This whimsical parachute-style ride lasts approximately 90 seconds and is designed with little guppies in mind.

Jumpin’ Jellyfish is one of the kid-friendly attractions that can be experienced at Disney California Adventure. The current Disneyland Resort president, Thomas Mazloum, has said making the resort accessible to young families is a priority. This is one of the attractions that is part of this. Monsters Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! is also one of these attractions. It was recently announced that it will remain open an additional year to accommodate young families.
