The CHOC Walk in the Park is returning to the Disneyland Resort to once again raise funds for the now-named Rady Children’s Hospital of Orange County. Daps Magic will be participating once again for this walk when supporters walk through the Disneyland Resort before it opens. CHOC Walk raises funds for Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC), the pediatric healthcare system serving children and families in Orange County and throughout Southern California. The event will take place early in the morning on August 2nd. Thousands of fundraisers will come together at Disneyland for the 5k walk through the parks before they are open for their normal daily operations. The walkers will make their way through Disneyland and then Disney California Adventure. Along the way, they will discover some magical surprises that often include Disney characters, photo ops, and more! Every year, this event is a lot of fun, walking together and making a powerful impact on this local community organization.

Several years ago, I had the opportunity to share about why I walk and support the CHOC Walk ahead of Daps Magic, hosting the ROCK4CHOC event. Every year, a quarter of a million children across four counties are treated at Rady Children’s Health Orange County. RCHOC provides more than $155 million in total community benefits, such as resources and information, disease and injury prevention, and behavioral health services. Of that, RCHOC shared that more than $135 million—over 85%—is uncompensated care. This ensures that every child across our region receives the services they need, regardless of their family’s ability to pay. When people participate in CHOC Walk, they are helping these efforts, these children, and their families.

Registration Guidelines

Here are the official registration guidelines for participants of the 2026 CHOC Walk in the Park (register here):

• All CHOC Walk participants aged 3 and older must be registered individually and reach the $125 fundraising minimum to attend the event.
  • General fundraising minimum: $125 per person to attend the event in-person
  • Little guests ages 2 and younger – FREE
  • The fundraising minimum may be reached through donations from others, personal payments, or a combination of both.

• Nonrefundable registration fee: $10
  • Will be charged during registration to reserve your spot.
  • This $10 will count toward your $125 fundraising minimum.
• Deadline to reach your fundraising minimum: July 31 – Aug. 1, 2026 (event check-in)
  • Participants who don’t reach their minimum before check-in can bring funds or pay the remaining balance at check-in to pick up their event wristband.
  • *NOTE: You will need to check in prior to the event day to get your event wristband – Check-in will NOT be available on event day (Aug. 2, 2026).
