Last year, WALL-E stopped by the Pixar Place Hotel for a day of exploring and magic making. This comes ahead of the beloved robot’s arrival on the Disney Adventure as part of its entertainment lineup. While this was the real WALL-E, another version of the robot has been made by droid builder Matt Hobbs. This droid recently visited Adam Savage on his YouTube show Adam Savage’s Tested.
This episode doesn’t just give a look at WALL-E. It also gives a look at how Matt Hobbs brought him to life. It really is fascinating and way more in-depth than one would expect. This is a cutting-edge robot, and Matt and Adam look at how modern technology makes this character possible. This includes physical technology and computing. Check out the full episode below!
WALL-E first appeared in the 2008 Pixar Animation Studios’ film WALL-E. His name stands for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-class. In the movie, he is the last robot on Earth. He spends his time cleaning up Earth. Through the 700 years he has been doing this, he has developed his own personality. When he spots another droid named EVE, he follows her on an adventure through the galaxy. WALL-E is a beautiful love story between two robots and also a warning about loving and protecting the planet that we live on.
