The Disneyland Resort is embarking on an exciting period of growth and expansion. This comes as the DisneylandForward initiative turns from ideas into physical changes. Some of these things have been announced. Others will be in the future (hopefully D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event!). One of the announced projects is an attraction based on Pixar’s Coco. This attraction will be found in the corner of the park between Paradise Gardens Park and Pixar Pier. While specifics are still in short supply, it can be guessed that there will be changes coming to that corner of Disney California Adventure.
On the last day of the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort, Daps Magic stopped by the Disneyland Resort for a look at the area before any potential changes happened. Below is a video and photos of the area as they are at this one moment of time on January 7, 2026. Even if just a little bit of this area changes, this video and these photos capture one moment in time at the Disneyland Resort.

As has always been the case, things continue to grow, change, and evolve in the Disney Parks. This is a very good thing. Without these things, the parks would become stagnant and eventually die. Instead, we are in a period where Disney executives, Imagineers, and Cast Members are empowered to dream big, innovate, and tell new stories! The Coco attraction at Disney California Adventure is just one of many examples around the world of this happening.
