On Friday, January 23, 2026, Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! celebrated 20 years of scares. To celebrate this milestone at the Disneyland Resort, buttons were given out to those who rode the attraction throughout the day. The buttons show a less than thrilled Roz on them with some laugh canisters. It also has the caption “20 Years of Scares.”
Friend of Daps Magic, Spencer, went on Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! just before Disney California Adventure closed. He took the following photos with his button as he made his way through the attraction.
While Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! celebrated 2 decades of storytelling at Disney California Adventure this week, it is unlikely that it will celebrate its 21st. The attraction is slated to close to make way for a future area and attraction based on Disney Legend James Cameron’s Avatar franchise. Fans will be able to visit Pandora when they go to Disney California Adventure and go on a boat ride that takes them on a new adventure on the distant planet.
